March Roofing & Insulation ("we") is the data controller for personal information you give us through this website. This notice explains how we use it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you request a site visit we collect your name, mobile number, email address, property address and postcode, details of the roofing work, your preferred appointment, and any photos you choose to upload.
Why we use it
We use your information only to respond to your request, arrange and carry out your site visit, and provide quotes. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in running our business. We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.
How we protect it
Booking details are stored in a secure, encrypted database. Only authorised staff of March Roofing can sign in to view them. Photos are stored privately and are never publicly visible.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for up to 6 years after our last contact with you, for accounting and warranty purposes, then delete them. If you don't go ahead, you can ask us to delete your details sooner.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Call us on 07716 652379. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113).
